Taylor Swift is unleashing a new album, as you’ve probably heard by now (how could you not?!). AHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Midnights is the name of it. The release date is October 21!
The album Midnights, which recounts 13 most restless, snooze-filled nights spread throughout her life, will be released on October 21. Meet her at twelve.
Swift made the announcement during her acceptance speech for “Video of the Year,” which she received for “All Too Well: The Short Film,” at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night.
Swift addressed the crowd, to raucous clapping and cheers,
“I had sort of made up my mind that if you were going to be this generous and give us this, I thought it might be a wonderful opportunity to inform you that my brand new album comes out Oct. 21.”
Swifties naturally lost their minds as they all went bonkers.
There was a great deal of yelling, crying, vomiting, etc. in unison.
Twitter user mariam noted that Taylor Swift has been literally screaming, crying, and throwing up music to her ears, and that this feels incredibly surreal.
As Taylor Swift’s new album is announced, another Twitter user is in shambles, crying, screaming, and urinating on the ground.
Swifties on Twitter are still in shock by the announcement, with one anticipating that Taylor Swift will soon release a new album. She is crying, screaming, and throwing up.
After the news, the word “SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP” actually became a trend on Twitter. her strength
Swift revealed that the album’s name would be Midnights at the stroke of twelve. Swift stated in an Instagram post that the album’s idea is “the stories of 13 sleepless nights spread throughout my life.”
“We are wide awake, torn between love and fear, anguish and tears. We drink until the walls respond as we stare at them “She wrote. We twitch in our home-made cages and hope we aren’t about to make a fatal mistake that will change the course of our lives at this very moment.
This is a collection of late-night songs that takes the listener on a voyage through terrifying and delightful dreams “The post went on. “We pace the floors while battling our demons. For all of us who have tossed and turned and chosen to keep the lanterns light and continue looking in the hopes that perhaps, at twelve, we will run into one another.
Of course, if that’s even possible, people got even crazier.
The fact that it will be dropping on Kim Kardashian’s birthday particularly surprised people.
Which seemed especially unlikely given Swift’s ensemble for the evening, which was an obvious homage to her attire in the “Look What You Made Me Do” video, which was mostly based on her dispute with Kardashian and her then-husband Kanye West.
Which, of course, was a tribute to Swift’s attire from the 2009 VMAs, when Ye memorably cut off Swift’s acceptance speech. That incident took place 13 years ago, which is Swift’s lucky number. My god, do I sound like I have a yarn wall in my apartment yet?
Anyway, everyone is just excitedly anticipating October 21 and speculating as to what the album might be:
Imagine if Taylor Swift’s Midnights album consisted just of 13 tracks for relaxing at night.
I’ll see you all at midnight!
