Cast of "Power Book II" Claims 50 Cent Replaced T.I. With Method Man Due To Friction

Gianni Paolo and Michael Rainey Jr. presented some previously unheard information regarding the original casting for “Power Book II: Ghost.”

Fans like watching Method Man showcase his acting skills on television in the role of Davis Maclean on 50 Cent’s popular series Power Book II: Ghost. The cast of the show has revealed that T.I. was originally intended to play Maclean, which is likely something that fans were unaware of. Tariq St. Patrick and Brayden Weston, aka Michael Rainey Jr. and Gianni Paolo, were recently stopped by TMZ while out on a stroll in Los Angeles and asked for some insight about the next season of Power Book II: Ghost.

In addition to discussing the third season of the popular Starz series, the crime drama duo revealed some previously unseen details about the show’s original casting decisions, such as the fact that Method Man ultimately received the role of lawyer Maclean instead of T.I. because of a previous conflict with 50 Cent. Paolo revealed,

“According to what I heard, T.I. will portray Method Man. I’m not sure if there was a falling out or something, but Method ended up playing him instead of Davis Maclean after that.”

Michael Rainey said when questioned about the span of time between Tip having the part and Method Man stealing it “Early on in the process, i.e., before we really began recording. I have no idea what the circumstances may have been.”

It’s reasonable to assume that 50 Cent actually knows when and how to keep his shows on the air and company growing based on the success of his Power Universe. It was revealed earlier this month that the music mogul would host a brand-new show on the Flores twins, Peter and Jay, two drug traffickers from Chicago who are credited with bringing down infamous drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman.

Are you going to watch? Later this year, Power Book II: Ghost’s third season will premiere.
